The mount came with all the parts you'd need to hang it on either the wall or a fireplace. I put on the wall and it's doing a great job of holding up the tv. Now a couple points: (1) this mount does not allow you to tilt the tv. Not a bad thing for me, but for some perhaps... (2) when you are trying to take the foot stand off of your LCD TV be very careful that you don't lean the screen on anything. The glass can and does break very easily. The tv I have hanging up is a new one.
