I have an European satellite receiver I plan to use in the US. Because of the system difference, I had to use the Orei adaptor. In the end it worked well, however, for about 10 minutes I thought the unit is defective. After you plug in the cables, and you start the TV on the required input source, make sure you go up/down on +/- buttons to find the right frequency.
