What can you say about a device that only does one thing? It either works, or not. Well this one works really well and goes all day with no hiccups. No noticeable increase in delay from camera (using it with a blackmagic cam) and no perceived loss in image quality. Powers from a USB port which is great. Doesn't come with a power supply, only a USB cable. The small led tv I'm using it with has a USB port which powers it just fine, but if you don't have that, you'll need a USB power supply of some sort. This isn't an AJA or Blackmagic solid brick that you can throw around. But then it isn't $300 either. It's lightweight plastic and seems a little bit fragile. Only time will tell how well it holds up in a production environment. Don't even think about putting this out on a rental. The good news about this is it sticks to the back of your monitor easily with some Velcro. I will say that the build is clean. Unlike some generic devices I've gotten, usually made in China, there seems to have been a great level of care given to the cosmetics and even the packaging. It looks way more expensive than what it costs.

All in all, a great deal for $40. Sewell, if you're reading this, I'd gladly pay $80 for the same board, housed in a metal box, and it would still be a deal. I'm sure a lot of other production minded people would feel the same.
