The unit arrived very quickly. The construction was decent and I liked the metal case. Two LEDs; one red LED indicating power and one green LED indicating that the unit is converting a video signal. That's the good part.

The bad part is that I received the wrong unit. The unit advertised was a Component Video and SPDIF unit. The picture shows the Y Pb Pr video inputs (green, blue, red), the R L audio inputs (red, white) and a SPDIF audio input (black). The unit that I received only had the component video/audio inputs and did not include the SPDIF input.

The other bad part is that it does not work in my Wii or Original Xbox application. I have a Samsung Model UN40D6000SFXZA 40" LED-LCD TV and the HDMI inputs will only accept 720p, 1080i or 1080p signals; the TV will only accept 480i and 480p signals on the composite and/or component inputs. The Wii will only output 480i or 480p. I am using my composite and component inputs for other items so I need to convert my Wii to HDMI. Unfortunately, this converter's output is limited to the input. Therefore, a 480i Component input will equal a 480i HDMI output and a 480p Component input will equal a 480p HDMI output. This unit will not let you force the output to 720p or higher, which is required if you have a TV that only accepts the higher resolution HDMI inputs (720p, 1080i and 1080p). This converter cannot be used in this type of scenario.
