My home was previously configured to distribute video via CAT5 using component video baluns to two different TVs (one about 100 ft run, the other about 200 ft run). I tried numerous different component video baluns (including some high-end models), extensive efforts grounding components at all ends, etc., and could never get a consistently good picture. Somewhere along the way I'm getting interference or have questionable CAT5e cable. Well, I finally gave up and bought these Conversions Technology HDMI extenders. My problems were instantly solved. Both video runs that previously had bad interference, are now crystal clear. The system also includes an HDMI matrix switch and HDMI splitter, and four different HDMI sources, and I've had zero problems with HDMI handshakes and signaling issues.
