I bought this unit to convert video signal from my laser disc player, yes, I still have one. First, delivery was right on time as promised. Package arrived in good condition. Connection was easy, input on one side and out on the other. I connected the XD-901 between my Toshiba laser disc player and my Samsung 40" flat screen TV. The image quality was excellent, though it was not perfect. I do not expect it to look like HD quality because it is not. Watching it from 8 feet away, I couldn't tell the different, the image was sharp and color is excellent. The best part is the sound, I get the full laser disc quality surround sound as though I was watching the disc from my old system. I have a good collection of laser disc movies and I was not about to give them up. Now, I don't have to. As converting from other formats like Pal or SECAM, I have no experience with. It does the job on what I use it for. Great product.
