"The operating system will automatically detect the expansion module and either clone/mirror a single image on both displays, or span the image across both displays. To change the display setting/mode, change the display resolution via the operating system's display properties. To use Clone/Mirror mode, set the display resolution to equal or less than the maximum resolution of the smallest connected display. Set the display resolution higher to use Span Mode."

REVIEW: For best experience, I would strongly suggest using two monitors of the same size. The OS will detect a single monitor that is twice as wide as the connected devices. Both monitors must use the same orientation. Maximizing a window will cause it to span both monitors. You should be adept at docking windows to half screen width before considering this purchase. (On Window 7, press the Win+Left Arrow, or Win+Right Arrow to dock windows side by side.)
