BrainyTrade Mini DisplayPort to Composite Video S-Video Converter Review

I didn't think it worked at first and emailed Brainytrade to return it. A rep responded and was super nice and said to try lowering my computer resolution. I lowered the resolution to 800x600 and sure enough, I could see what was on my computer screen on my tv. Since I have a Macbook Pro with a minidisplay port, there is no other cord that I am aware of - or even combination of cords - that will allow me to attach it to my old tv with S-video. So, I am thrilled to have the option of doing this because I don't have "regular" tv. I watch tv on hulu or directly from the network. Also don't have a dvd player, I use my laptop and like to hook it to the tv to see movies. So, this cord allows me to do that. However, the sound cord does not work. The video works but nothing comes out the sound cord. Fortunately, I already had a Monster sound cord that I used with my previous laptop that I am able to use. So, in the end, with an additional sound cord, I am able to watch dvd's, internet tv, etc., on my tv with S-video. Customer service was quick to respond, very nice and very helpful.
