I bought at a brick and mortar for approximately the same price. I'm using it as a stand alone dac from my sony dvd/cd player. My thoughts on sound: output is not as high meaning less output voltage, spacial sounds are much improved in depth of sound field and stereo separation, big bonuses from the analogue outs are also in the refinement of high frequency resolution as snares cymbals and tambourines plus horns now sound much more realistic.
