No installation required, worked as soon as i plugged the included (that's nice!) cables in.

One thing that I wish for is that the adapter treat the two monitors as separate desktops not just as one desktop area stretched across both, as on Mac that puts my dock in the middle, spanning both monitors (until i dock it on the left or right) and has my application menu on the top left of the left monitor and my clock and systray on the top right of the right monitor. That may be a Mac issue, I don't know.

All in all, a nice way to drive my trusty old Dell monitors with DVI inputs from my Macbook Air with the thunderbolt port.
